Frequently Asked Questions about Lip Fillers

How soon will I see results for my lips?

One of the best parts about your lip enhancement is that you’ll see results immediately! As your Juvéderm® Ultra or Restylane® softens and draws moisture (hyaluronic acid can absorb 1000 times its weight in water!), your results will continue to improve and look even more natural.

Are lip injections be painful?

Generally, most patients find their lip injection treatments very comfortable. In many cases, a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible.

How many syringes will I need?

For lip enhancement, one syringe typically allows for sculpting and enhancement – while ensuring a natural and subtle final result. In most cases, patients seeking the “wow” factor and a more noticeable augmentation will require at least two syringes.
Patients in the 40+ age range with substantial lip volume loss may also require two or more syringes.
