BOTOX® Treatment Near Me

Botox is a neurotoxin that is injected into an area where a wrinkle is formed from a muscle contraction- most often referred to as dynamic wrinkles.

These neuromodulator substances block signals from the nerves to the muscle. By freezing the muscle, wrinkle formation cannot appear.

This treatment will temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe wrinkles.

What is Botox and why do I need it?

Botox is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

If you’re ready to smooth out your fine lines and wrinkles, Botox is an excellent option that delivers fast results for a wrinkle-free appearance.

Botox can smooth out your wrinkles and make you look years younger in as early as a weeks time!!

How many units of Botox will I need?

Depending on whether you have mild, or moderate to severe wrinkles, the amount of Botox units injected is an individual preference.

If you prefer some movement, we can inject less Botox.

If you prefer no wrinkles, then a higher number of Botox is needed.

The most commonly requested areas are:

  • Crows Feet
  • Between Eyebrows
  • Forehead lines

How does Botox® Work?

Using a very fine needle, BOTOX® is injected into the facial muscle. There is minimal pain.

These muscles are responsible for causing wrinkles and fine lines to form.

The Botox serum blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscle, and therefore reduces its ability to contract and form unsightly deeper wrinkles.

Over the next 3-7 days, Botox will freeze the muscle to stop facial movement. This is how your wrinkles will smooth out and soften.

As with all procedures, the results may vary based on how many units are injected and your desired outcome.

What is Botox pre-juvenation?

Pre-juvenation is starting a skin regimen program in your mid-late 20’s. Many patients begin injections at a relatively early age to prevent deeper wrinkles from forming.

Starting Botox treatments in your late 20’s helps to prevent deep wrinkle formation. Think prevention!

Does Botox hurt?

We try to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you. We use very thin 32 gauge needles to inject the appropriate amount of the Botox neurotoxin to the specific areas of your facial anatomy.

It’s no more than a small pinch. Your treatment will be comfortable and take as little as 15 minutes.

What will I look like right after Botox?

Immediately after Botox you may notice little raised dots. These will dissipate very quickly.

Over the coming days, typically 7-10 days, you will notice your results reveal themselves – lines becoming smoother, and an overall refreshed, rejuvenated and wrinkle-free appearance!

How Long Does Botox® Last?

Botox® and its effects can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Most people repeat the treatment every 4 months to maintain their wrinkle-free appearance.

The results of Botox® Cosmetic are best with regular and continued treatments over time.

What Results Should I Expect?

A Botox® Cosmetic treatment can give you a more youthful appearance by smoothing out the dynamic wrinkles.

Static wrinkles that are due to aging and sun damaged skin will not be affected as they are not caused by facial expressions.

Botox® does not tighten skin or replace the need for laser resurfacing or a facelift.

Botox injections are often used in conjunction with other procedures, such as laser collagen stimulation, laser resurfacing, or collagen injections, for a combined effect. We do offer all these services as well.

Results are not immediate. It usually takes three to five days to notice a reduction in muscle activity and up to 2 weeks for a full effect.

What other treatments should I get besides Botox?

Botox is a fabulous solution to being wrinkle-free when you’re in a dynamic facial movement.

But what else can be done besides Botox?

Collagen and elastin induction is important for your overall skin appearance.

We do offer a laser treatment for under-eye wrinkles. Check it out!

At what age should I start Botox?

The younger generation has started using Botox in their late 20s as a preventative treatment for wrinkles. Starting early reduces the muscle contractions from getting stronger and deeper as you age.

What are the post-treatment instructions after Botox?

You should not exercise for 24 hours. And you should not lie down for 4-6 hours.

Why can’t you lay down after Botox?

No, you should not lie down for 4 hours. The Botox needs to settle in the injection site. Laying down may cause the Botox to migrate.

What areas can be treated with Botox?

Botox® can be used to treat a variety of facial features, including eyes, forehead creases, eyebrow lines and lifts, and the corners of your mouth.
We also have Botox alternatives with laser.

Does Botox have side effects?

The most common side effect is temporary bruising at one or more of the injection sites. This can be covered with make-up.

On occasion, the Botox® can migrate (leak) into nearby muscles, causing temporary weakness. There are rare cases of drooping of an eyelid or asymmetry of facial expression.

The chance of experiencing a side effect depends which muscles are injected. Any side effect is temporary, as the effects of Botox® are completely reversible.

Does Botox make you look older after it wears off?

Your wrinkles will not look worse or make you look older than what your natural aging appearance would have been had you not started Botox treatments.

Can Botox lift eyebrows?

Botox injections can be placed at the ends of the eyebrows to help relax those muscles.
A Botox brow lift is a type of procedure that treats frown lines between your brows and it can also elevates the height of your eyebrow. We also offer an advanced brow lift.

Can I have wine after Botox?

We recommend avoiding alcohol the day of treatment as it can increase bruising.
